The book of giant stories

I love to read, and as a child this book was a favorite. In one of them, the giants are afraid of a little boy and go running off. Turns out he has the chicken pox! I remember thinking that the boy in the stories was a very brave kid!

  1. Thanks for the tip Lisa! I might get this book for my boys (who love bedtime stories). I am always looking for new books to read to them (or for them to read to me, which is how it sometimes works now that they are getting older).

I remember having chicken pox over winter break in kindergarten. My older brother and younger sister had them too. It's a remarkably fond memory for some reason? My kids will never experience this rite-of-passage ... kids are vaccinated for chicken pox these days.

Alas, chicken pox have gone the way of the rotary telephone ....

  2. Just make sure the one you purchase doesn't have this cover - they got it wrong! It is a greenish cover, with a great illustration from the book on it. It's by David Harrison.
